To conduct scientific research or training or teaching in a research institute

The Non-Immigrant "RS" visa is for "Scientific research or training, or study in an educational institution in the Kingdom of Thailand".

Application for further stay to research or science research or teaching in the Research Institution or Educational Institution in the Kingdom

Required Documents

1. Application form T.M.7 with one 4×6 cm. photograph and 1900 Baht Visa Fee.
2. Copy of passport ( Certified true copy )
3. Visa Extension in case of working for
   Researching
   1. An official letter from the concerned Government Department or Director of the State Enterprise or Embassy or Consulate

   In case of science research or teaching in the Research Institution or Education Institution in the Kingdom of Thailand

   1. An official letter from the national research committee department or the concerned Government Department or the equivalent (science research department) or the Embassy or the Consulate. (in case of short term, not more than 90 days)
   2. A copy of the work permit or copy of the receipt of the application for the work permit (Tor Thor 2) from the Department of Employment
   3. In the case of having income need;
      • The evidence of tax payment of an applicants (Por Ngor Dor 1) with receipt of payment in the latest month (First year) and
      • The evidence of income tax form (Por Ngor Dor 91) with receipt of payment for the last year worked in Thailand (Another year)

Note

If there is a verification form or document by the Embassy or Consulate, you also need to have :

• An explanation document of work detail, research, type of work to be performed or Educational Institution ( in case of short term visit) specify period of time.
