will be going up to mai sai close and planning to stay overnight with my girlfriend would like to know if anyone knows of any good hotel in chiangrai to stay overnight also want to do some shopping and sight seeing in burma for a day on my tourist visa from what i remember i need a copy of my passport and either 10 us dollars or 500 baht to get me into burma for a day without forfeiting my visa Just remember when you go over the border you will only get a 15 days permit to stay when you cross back over unless you have a re entry visa or multi entry on your tourist visa.. Check at the border before you go..Lots of good places to stay in Chiang rai and I would say the Nim see sing is great value at 399 baht a night. its better than the wang come at 1200 baht a night. has air, cable tv and some breakfast.. breakfast is coffee and toast. Check out Rico's bar while you are in Chiang rai it is by the condo Hotel . Everyone should know where it is. Rico's beach bar(in town) has good food farang and Thai and cheap drinks. Good expat bar...Anything else you need to know them message me..have a good trip Dave |
