Hello
My friend is "warning" me and my husband not to come to Jomtien. We are arriving Nov 2 and staying for 3 months. I keep telling her there is nothing to worry about, it's not affecting where we are going, but is in Bangkok and about the government. Please help me rest her mind, I'm not worried, as she was planning on visiting for 2 weeks in Dec/Jan (she's from Canada), we are coming form the UK. Thanks. |

I live in Jomtien and i can assure you that things are pretty much as they've always been.
Maybe a little quieter than normal but thats due to many factors and not only down to the Bangkok protests, so there's nothing to worry about, come on over and enjoy! |

You have absolutely nothing to worry about whatsoever in Jomtien.
Even in Bangkok there are thousands of expats that are completely unaffected by the Government protests. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I wouldn't worry about Pattaya -Jomtien area. It is kind of its own entity. Bangkok & the deep south are the only iffy places in Thailand at present. Even Bangkok is alright if you stay out of the way of where the protesters are. Come & enjoy. Jomtien is as safe as it always is.
