QUOTE (Tonyzill @ 2008-06-20 13:52:26) *
History shows when demonstrations of this kind build up as they seem to be inevitably there will be trouble. Despite the PAD saying it will be a peaceful march there will be those that want to cause trouble and once it starts the ending is always the same as the police have no choice but to do something. I hope it doesnt happen but that would contradict everything that has happened before.

Romania, If I remember right, they went into Parliament behead the Dictator and got democracy......

TNN now showing what just looks like police mingling with demonstrators.
One good thing is that when their lines are breached the police just seem to keep their discipline.

TOC quote AP as confirming same number. 100K at 2 o,clock on a workday. It is going to be a monster when the workers come along at night.

TOC reporting that Samak is out of town at Chachensao on another food trip.

I'm sure he'll address this small issue in his own good time.

Quite how did such a small group of anti-PAD supporters get through the police lines?

TOC reporting that one way the police are trying to stop upcountry people reaching Bangkok is by laying nails across roads! Quite what this has to do with upholding the democratic right to assemble and freedom to travel is hard to understand not to mention how causing damage to private property is actually a role of the police.
