My Thai partner and I have been together for more than 5 years. I found ThaiVisa Forum while doing internet searches for ways to learn about Thailand and Thai language and culture. My ThaiVisa Forum name is how my real name sounded when my Thai partner used to pronounce it shortly after we met. My avatar is one of the two spirit houses in front of our house.

I've been working in the Information Technology and Telecommunications business since the late-1990's. I have worked in many countries throughout North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. I've lived abroad for much of the last several years and am currently working in the Middle East. I love the technical challenges of working in this industry. I really enjoy the opportunities to work abroad and interact with and learn about new countries, cultures and people.

In no particular order, I believe:
- everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.
- that left alone, the free markets will solve more problems and better serve the public at large than any government.
- that governments should be in the business of governing, not in the business of running businesses.
- government lotteries are just another way to get the poor man to pay taxes.
- people should generally be left alone to do what they want to do, so long as they don't cause any harm or imposition to me or anyone else.
- in the "Free to Choose" teachings of the late, great Nobel laureate Dr. Milton Friedman ( http://www.miltonfriedman.blogspot.com/ ).
- in the small government, libertarian views of the great economist Dr. Walter E. Williams ( http://www.gmu.edu/departments/economics/wew/ ), especially his lectures on "Economics for the Citizen."
- the social, political, race and economic insights and commentaries of the great Thomas Sowell ( http://www.tsowell.com/ ).
- the concept of man-made global warming is the biggest fraud being thrust upon free societies today (and the last several years of weather trends are proving this to be correct).
- in the concept of Pascal's Wager ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_Wager ).
- the United Nations is one of the most corrupt fraudulent organizations in the world.
- America is rapidly heading toward socialism like western Europe.
- the American constitution and its amendments (The Bill of Rights) are some of the most important documents in the history of men.
- my new President, Barack Obama, is a deer in the headlights and is in way over his head. He is a dyed in the wool anti-capitalist socialist, if not the quintessential "Manchurian candidate."
- the current American Senate and House leadership is nothing more than incompetent power-lusting bureaucrats whose only real skill is bankrupting everything that they get their dirty little fingers on. They should be ashamed, if not cast out of office and prosecuted.
