There you have it! Another example of what marry-for-money will end up like.
Marrying bar-girls to whom you could be their father or even grandfather, always comes at a price. That fact that this is very common, is not a surprise. But the amazing thing is how surprised they get, when they realize that their beloved wife doesn't love him.

You are such a jack-ass.

Considering the nature of the thread, have some respect.

I believe there's a provision, within Thailand, for anyone to go to a police station and file and official declaration, if one feels threatened. Might be a good idea for some farang who feel threatened. As mentioned earlier, it could stand up in court as a legal document. Granted, it will be scant relief for the guy who gets knocked off, but it's something. Plus, you can let the person know (the one you feel threatened by) and it may give that person pause to reflect on consequences - and/or it may cause a big argument, full of tearful denials and threats.

I have had two long term relationships with women 20 years younger than me (in UK) - and they certainly weren't after my money. Both only failed as they wanted kids and I didn't.

I agree with you, I have had good and bad relationships 20, 30 years younger, here and in the US, one needs to know the difference between love and money, there is good and bad every where, in both male or female, some of us don't know better and much of that, takes experence, sad but true, it is not what one tells one, it is what one shows one, daily, of course love and hate live sometimes very close together you just need to know the difference and in his sad case, to late...

What is not good to look at are your capital letters, looks like you are shouting.

And your shouting sounds as bad as your silly post.

I vaguely remember when it was first reported in the press. And I am glad to see a Thai court has treated the perpetrators of this callous crime against the deceased as they would if the victim was one of their own.

It lifts the standing the state puts on farang in general. Every little bit helps.

One week trial doesn't feel very thorough. But then again: This is Thailand. Important is only that they did it, then they deserve it!

If this is the case I think it is, the deceased wrote a letter to his lawyer explaining the situation shortly before he was killed. That document would have been a material document in court substantiated by eye witness accounts and other evidence gathered. It would seem it was an open and close case with all the evidence at hand.

Lord knows how he must have suffered during those final hours. RIP.

I hope he rests in peace, its a shame that this goes on especially in Thailand,I've read other cases before, the Law and Order needs to be stepped up to keep peace and people in their place!

the main thing here is...

even though she had access to her deceased husbands money, she was unable to pay off the police, which is a significant development.
