Hi...
\Has anybody heard of Thanaratvitaya School in Lamphun. It is suppose to be a non-government school ...? A friend of mine in Australia was asking as her daughter of 17 has made a contract with them to come and teach there from April 29th for 8 weeks as a volunteer teacher even though she doesn't even have a Teacher's degree....?**personal details removed***She is a little concerned for her daughter and has asked me about this place but I have myself never heard of it......Any info would be appreciated...I googled them but didn't bring anything up ....?
Thanks ermm.gif

Moved to the teaching section.

Members can only recommend or not recommend a school. Details can be given by PM.

As for not having a teaching degree, that is no problem. A lot of paid teacher don't have one either.

Ok , but I just want to know if it really exists and if it is in fact a real non government school for the safety of this young girl as cannot find anything about them on Google ...otherwise I can drive there and try to find it but would easier to start off with a confirmation that it does in fact exist sad.gif

Well, perhaps you haven't received a response because no one has heard of it. There are a few thousand schools in the country so it is possible that nobody here has heard of it.

Since 2003 I have known teachers and students in matayom schools in that province. I never heard of that school

A bit young, I would think.....

So, OP, you have your answer and it wasn't all that difficult, now, was it? As for our opinion of a school that would hire a 16-17 year old to teach, well, that would be a low opinion, but you don't really have any proof that they have done so, have you? And since we have a policy against 'name and shame,' this thread has really persisted too long. Closed.
