.....I just took my usual 1,000mg of Ciprofloxin (Ciprofloxacin)......
I tried to edit this part out of my recent post becuase I thought it might mislead someone, but couldn't, so instead I will say here that antibiotics have no effect on flu or any other type of virus. I didn't mean to give the impression that Cipro will help you if you have the flu. This post has been edited by siamiam: 2009-10-31 16:50:20 |

......I haven't had anyone ask me questions about where I come from, other than a medical questionair that everyone on my plane had to fill out in Kolkata upon arrival from Bangkok, (I think that was in early July)........ I will be off to India again in a week. This time I fly into Delhi, so it will be interesting to see what if any screening they will have there. I haven't had any flu vaccines yet .....I liked your idea of monitoring instances of possible 'flu fobia'. Cheers. Having previously mentioned that I would be going to Delhi, I thought I should report my experience on arrival at the airport: There was a questionair in Delhi, (handed out on the plane while enroute), similar to the one they had in July at Kokata. The private company that the government of India uses to issue their tourist visas in Bangkok advises people traveling to India of the possibility of being quarentined if you arrive and are determined to be 'sick' by the officials there. I wanted to make sure I wasn't coughing, sneezing, or weezing when I showed up, so I sucked on a Strepsil just before arriving. It all went smoothly, (my entering the country), but there is no doubt the Indians are serious about trying to keep 'flu' infected visitors from entering the general population. Cheers. p.s. I did end up getting a regular (non-swine) flu shot in Bangkok before leaving. This post has been edited by siamiam: 2009-11-12 11:13:59 |
