To celebrate the centenary of Buddhadasa Bhikkhu's birth, a group of educators will be sharing their views on his legacies to Thailand's education system this Saturday, at the Kamhaeng Balangkura Auditorium, the Office of Secretary General to the National Education Council.
After the opening ceremony, from 10 to 10:40am, Pracha Hutanuwatr will give a keynote speech on ``Tracing the learning process of Buddhadasa Bhikkhu''. The next session will be a panel discussion on Buddhadasa's thoughts on education and educational reform, to be attended by Buddhist monks and writers Worj Wachiramedhi, Ruangruang Sukhapirom and Rachani Dhongchai.
The afternoon session will start from 1pm with another keynote speech by historian Nidhi Eoseewong on the process of moral learning in present society. Again, it will be followed by a panel on ``Searching for morality, returning to true education'' to be attended by Phra Dussadee Metang-kuro, Suwanna Satha-anand, Komart Chuensathirasap and Winai Sama-un. Finally, from 4 to 4:30pm, Privy Councillor Dr Kasem Wattanachai will deliver a closing speech on ``Education and moral learning in Thai society''.

Also for the same occasion, a religious marathon walk will be held from Suan Mokkh forest monastery in Chaiya, Surat Thani to Sathira Dhammasatan monastery for Buddhist nuns in Bangkok.
