Where To Buy Formica Worktops?

I want to make a kitchenette counter. Years ago in the UK I would buy a 3-metre length of chipboard with a formica top and perhaps a wooden front edging or rolled edge - typically sold in DIY stores. Often there would be a choice of different formica patterns

But I have not been able to find similar items in Phuket.

Any ideas where to buy?

Thanks

Trouble In Paradise?

Trouble In Paradise? Suicide And Accidental Death Reach Epidemic Proportion On The Island Of Phuket!

Phuket on Thailand's South coast is a tropical island paradise, a romantic holiday destination with beautiful sandy beaches full of tourists that have come to escape the dreary winter months of Europe and North America. The locals have a reputation for their hospitality, and their charming Thai smiles, making tourists feel welcome and keeping them coming back year after year. Most tourists don't realize that there are an alarming number of unexplained deaths, and questionable suicides.

I was reading the local paper this morning, and I saw another story reported as a suicide, yet the circumstances seem to indicate that something more sinister is far more likely. This is nothing new, stories like this appear in the Phuket papers as often as weekly, with so many bizarre suicides reported in Phuket, it seems impossible to write them off as simply coincidence. Earlier this week, a prominent local media mogul was gunned down in the streets of Phuket Town, in an obvious assassination. Now it is being reported that the deceased journalist Wisut ''Ae'' Tangwittayaporn, first raised questions about the ownership of the Freedom Beach land, printing a story in his online newspaper. Today's report also suggests that a security guard who was questioned by investigators, and "had intimate knowledge of a controversial property at Phuket's Freedom Beach", has committed suicide just the day after the assassination of Khun Ae.

Now the official story is that the security guard felt pressured and depressed, and chose to end his own life, however his involvement in such a high profile land dispute has many people asking questions, and pointing fingers. The local law enforcement has a reputation for corruption, and it is believed that murders are often covered up, written off as suicides or accidental deaths. If you go back through the archives of the local newspapers, and read the reports of suicides and accidental deaths, the numbers are staggering.

Hand Luggage: Comparison Air Asia Vs. Bangkok Air And

Hallo, I plan a flight from BKK to Europe in May and will need a feeder flight from Phuket to Bangkok.

My question: Who is according to your experience more lenient in carrying the hand luggage, Air Asia or Bangkok Airways on domestic and Air Berlin or Emirates on international route?

To be quite clear: I do NOT ask for reliability of airline or excess luggage. All that is clear for me. I just want to know how restrictive all airlines are with respect to strictly one piece and the weight of the HAND luggage. What was your recent experience?

Super Cheap Chalong

Normally I'm an early bird on blowing the whitstle on Urban Sprawl. The big market across from Home Pro Village will be a gonner soon. If it were that Phuket has so many markets you'd think it is Issan I would still be against the Super
Cheap going in across from Villa/HomePro. I don't really shop at supercheap but go there to take a resturant lady and her Thai friends out to Rassada! I go in and all but not alot of shopping. I may be wrong (usually not) but seems that S.C. is the place to shop for holiday stuff. What ever the holiday is they have a big go at it. I you need lots of stuff for Monk SC is the place to go .. Odd, they have a huge fireworks section on the same row as Monk goods.

Enought drivel to intro what is a nice addition to the sothern end of the Island. I'm pleased for the people who need the place. It runs well better than Macro. My ladies like to hit SC at about 7am when it is not crowded and still cool.
Tis the food sellers and cart operators who will benefit from no long trip and big fuel costs. SS South.... Bring it ON!
