I was born the son of a poor black sharecropper...
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... Ya know try as I might, nothing I come up with seems to be particularly attention grabbing or compelling about me. I recently turned 44 years of age in what many people refer to as "The Old Pueblo", AKA: Tucson, AZ in the USA. Originally born in Eastern Pennsylvania, I spent the later part of my youth and much of my early adulthood being raised in Western PA in two little hamlets called Penn Run and Indiana Respectively. Both are not far from the famed village of Punxsutawney or Punxy as some refer to it, which is of course home to that arguably more famous of rodents, Punxsutawney Phil. Not known as a melting pot of anything (Recent statistics for my school put the demographics at <1% American Indian, Asian/Pacific Islanders, Hispanic, 1% African American and 98% Caucasians), I'm told that this is a great place to raise children. I would on the whole agree with that statement, but only provided that you don't expect them to get far in life or have teeth by the time they reach their 40s. All in all, I'm a pretty easy person to get to know. Unless of course you happen to be someone located in Nigeria who is either trying to get the lottery prize to me that I've recently won or need help getting your "Kingly" inheritance out of the country. In which case, I'm likelier to contact the authorities and claim "shenanigans". I've successfully restarted my Bachelor's degree after almost 20 years and am happy to say I've done well my first semester back in college. My hope is that this will propel me towards a more permanent settling in Thailand with my partner of four years! |
