Moved to Thailand mid 2007, renting an apartment outside Kata first of all. Eventually decided to buy my own place early 2008, and since then have been through the Thai system for many things, including having property, cars, boats, driving licence, boat licence etc etc etc. Absolutely no expert, but have a certain amount of knowledge and experience now. Lucky to have a good lady, live in Chalong, have 2 Golden Retrievers, like good food and chilling out. Favourite place in Phuket, Ao Yon.

Main hobbies, photography, sometimes canoeing, getting out on the boat (if the weather's kind enough!), and cooking. Ex Royal Marine, and spent many years in the oil industry in various countries.
