No problem recently with booking. It may be the traffic so wait a few hours and try again.
A problem I did have was the error messages are not correct. When booking put your telephone number into the system like you were calling from Malaysia. Use the country code etc. #27Posted 2008-04-23 21:17:44

I have a visa with an American Bank. Before my CC would be accepted I had to register with "verified by visa". after that it was fine. No complaints..

I've booked on the internet with Air Asia dozens of times and never had a single problem. Every time I've flown the plane has been nice and new. And I've only once ever had any significant delay.
It's Nok Air that I've lately been having problems with web booking. Last time, in February, after a tooth an claw fight with their call centre I gave up and booked the flight (to Krabi) with Air Asia. Smooth all the way and in 5 minutes or less I had my flight booked and confirmed. #30Posted 2008-04-24 17:53:42
Some problems with credit card paying seem to emminate from ones own computer.
I have never had a problem with Air Asia. Trying to pay for accommodation one time, I was given the message, "Payment error"..... sumfin like that. I tried a couple more times with the same result, gave up went to bed. Next day, first thing, booking and payment was made smoothly. Later, out of curiosity, I checked online my credit card entries and found the payments had been debited 4 times ....... sheeeesh. Immediately I sent an email to my bank, using the bank's secure messaging site. Later that day the bank's card company, VISA, had replied and said they would get three of the payments reversed. It took about a week, but absolutely no hassles. My computer at home is not the fastest, and at the time only 250 Megs RAM. On restarting next day, the memory that was being used elswhere in my machine had been dissapated, so all fresh, no problems. Since upgrading to 1gig RAM, no problems. It appears memory, or lack of, was my problem, give it consideration if you run into such problems again. Try closing down, not rebooting, and try again. Good onya VISA. Air Asia, my prefered LCC carrier. Using Thai to get to Swampy, I once tried NOK, Thais' LCC effort. Noway, no more, wotta hassle......... Nok Air is not owned by Thai, although Thai has a 39% stake along with other investors. It's an independant company.

Based on my most recent experience in March, Air Asia has updated their website significantly since I made my original post regarding them ripping me off on a failed booking.
But I am not sure they have improved their customer service one bit! Read some of the more recent Air Asia complaint threads! #33Posted 2008-05-06 16:51:10

How do the contents of this Air Asia site come to be, if all you Air Asia grizzlers are correct. http://www.airasia.c...eference=awards Go and read it. As I said before, I reckon you are the ones at fault here. Air Asia is tops from my experience over the last 4 years, all bookings online, never a problem. If my Air Asia flight (transiting KL) arrives in time to make an earlier connection than that paid for, will they allow me to take it if seats are available? Or is it just not even worth asking? I have been told to allow 3 hours to transit between Air Asia flights. Is that an absolute? Thanks.

Just tried logging on whilst in KL (Sunday night). Tried a couple of browsers too but still 'forgets' my login info and starts me over again. Opera browser ended up suggesting the website is too busy and try later.

Ta NL
will try later #39Posted 2011-04-05 14:12:26
Yes its up and running
Aslo see for emergency www.wegolo books there seats at around 40% higher than AA website This often makes full fare carriers more attractive yet odd route where AA times are best for me #40Posted 2011-04-05 17:18:56

In defence of Air Asia I nearly always fly with them and had no problems. If an error message comes up it always turns out to be an error I made. During the recent floods at Nakhon Si Thammarat they were brilliant at keeping us informed about delays and cancellations. My wifes flight to BKK has been put in a credit account and can be used anytime and my flight was finally changed to Hat Yai at no extra charge, Mozilla Firefox is the one for me

A little off-topic but still having to do with Air Asia, those of you that use the kiosk check in, what is the advantage if you have baggage?
I use it when I have only carry-on, and it is way convenient, don't have to wait in queue, but with luggage I still have to go to the counter. Any advantage using the kiosk check-in when checking baggage? #43Posted 2011-04-05 18:58:23 You begin to really wonder what is going on with posts like this.........
I should add that I used Air Asia once, and whilst I had none of the problems you highlight, I was scared witless by the old aircraft, and vowed that I would never use them again for that reason alone. I believe they are buying newer planes, but I don't know what their current fleet is like. There is of course a reason why they're so cheap.....no such thing as something for nothing. AirAsia has one of the youngest fleets in the industry!! ---- 3.4 year average aircraft age. http://www.planespot...irAsia?show=all Compared to Qantas (promoted as the worlds safest) with an average aircraft age of 11.7 years. |
