I am looking to bring things to England to sell, simply to offset the cost of airfare. All in about 400 quid.
Any ideas?
What will pay for my flight

I live in Isaan and the Kaen music pipes are dirt cheap. Medium size one like your mother might stick on the sideboard as a souvenir run to about 55 baht at a gift shop.

I don't know where you are going while there, but silk and wood carvings are cheap in the north. Also people seem to like the baht gold chains , 2-6 baht size preferred. Will probably have to pay some duty depending on what you take home.

Check out the night market in Chiang Mai, many traders are buying there. All kinds of handicrafts and so on. Also the weekend market in Bangkok might be worth having a look at.

the hit amongst my souveniers at my last trip home were the mini radio walkmen found in Pratunam market. they cost around 80 baht and are really good!
