Can anyone advise how to get out to the Korat immigration office now that it is so far from everything? Is there a songtow, bus, or some other transport? Or maybe Tuk tuks will go that far out (must be rather expensive.
Sorry no one has jumped to help you. I don't live in Korat but they do have taxis. I would imagine that to be the best way forward. Once there speak to a farang with a view to a free ride back to town. While I'm on can anyone please explain why they placed an immigration office 12 km outside of a city with no facilities to get there ?

I live in Korat. Yes you can hire a taxi meter to take you there. I believe it was a cost savings to move the office 12 k's from town since they had office space available in the TOT building.

Does the Korat Immigration Office service the Surin area?

Yes, it does.  But it is now on Route 24 near the Chokchai Intersection, not the TOT Building (see many posts in the Visa section).

May be you can use the faxnumber but I guess the mobilenumbers may be more convenient.

Immigration Office
1/8 Moo 13
Decha Udom Road
Tambon Chok Chai
Amphoe Chok Chai
Nakhon Ratchasima 30190
Phone: 081 810 0588, 081 344 0662, 087 254 3605, 089 844 3736
Fax: 044 492 903-4

I was there this Monday. Very good and friendly service in spite of all people coming after the long holiday and all people who had been delayed because of the vulcano on Iceland. :)

I went there last Thursday for my 90 day report. They weren't informing people of the reporting by post. Typical of the tossers at that office.

Especially as a 'face to face' meeting has far more monetary opportunities!

I really dont understand your comment.
You stated in your earlier post that they werent informing people about reporting by mail, as if they are going to voluntarily give that info to everybody that walks in the office.
Of course they arent , only if you ask the question of them.
So tell me what was so hard to understand about my post that you had to ask if I was for real.
