The best way to have a pool quoted is to first work on a set of simple drawings - dimensions, depth, surface material, etc). A big variable of course, is the foundation and pilings which will be determined by the pool dimensions and a bore test of the ground beneath the pool. Often, we are approached by customers "who just want a pool." It is not that easy, and ourselves have been burned fiddling with customers who have no idea what they want, have done no research, have no drawings, etc. This is the type of customer who is usually taken for a loooooonnnnngggg ride by unscrupulous constractors.

Done hundreds of swimming pools in Thailand. Professional, knows what he is talking about and has experience. I would be very careful about listening to armchair professionals who tell you to build your own etc. Its why so many of them leak, cost too much to run and are unhealthy. I have had four pools built in Thailand and know from exprience always use a professional pool company; this guy has done the best job possible. He does embassies, over a hundred expat pools etc. Thailand Swimming Pools is a great web site and you will get a quick answer for sure and professional advice. Try it and see for yourself. he has helped lieterally hundreds of expats. Really nice guy too. I was very happy with them. #10Posted 2009-07-22 13:38:52

PM me...I know someone good and for the right prices.
#16Posted 2010-11-06 12:58:28 Quote That price is about right. I assume that is for a concrete/tiled pool, what about a fiberglass pool? Are they more or less expensive on average? #17Posted 2010-11-06 19:44:11

I have just posted this in answer to another question : The best pool chap in Pattaya is a Thai called Khun Bee (can speak English) 081 781 2719 I would highly recommend Khun Bee on his great job doing my pool renovation. Thanks for giving his phone number. I just bought a house and need to change the tile which was black (I hate that colour) to the nice blue ocean colour. I am very happy with him, and he charge me with a very reasonable price. He did other job for me also such as built a fence, awning and electricy repairs. Jack of all trades!. #23Posted 2011-04-04 09:29:45
We quote about 6 pools a week, I have no recollection of this. Maybe the kiddie corner at Carrefour might have something for you? Gil #24Posted 2011-04-04 09:44:49
Only one company in Pattaya meets my standards and that is Home and Pool, i always use them although i always give some of the others a chance to quote and show me their work, none come close, clean, quick, professional, top product - medium price, unlike all the other jokers in Pattaya who are poor product - maximum price.

Only one company in Pattaya meets my standards and that is Home and Pool, i always use them although i always give some of the others a chance to quote and show me their work, none come close, clean, quick, professional, top product - medium price, unlike all the other jokers in Pattaya who are poor product - maximum price. i have seen pools lined with shitty tiles and a grout width of up to 2.5cm! that's why i specified 3-4mm and got 3-4mm. there are 2HP top quality pool pumps for 24,000 Baht (e.g. Hayward) and el cheapo versions from China -same capacity- for 4-6,000 Baht. some people want a pool to wade in it or rather shallow because of their children, others want to swim. summary: in my [not so] humble opinion any pool builder who quotes a price based on surface area without discussing the requirements/demands of his customer and/or describes his equipment as "high capacity" or "high quality" without going into details disqualifies himself. that also goes for companies who submit a quote for a specific pool feature for 258,400 Baht, when questioned blame the total on a typo and adjust the price to 158,400 Baht which is still 25% above the price published in their website. |
