Well, I don't have residency and I don't plan on dishing out several thousand dollars to get it either, BUT, I pay a sh1t-load of taxes... probably more than most well-to-do nationals. I have a non-b visa, a work permit, I speak Thai, I have a Thai driver's license, etc. That should count for something and it does in some parks, but not in all.
