Are you new to Chiang Mai or thinking of moving here?
Moving to a new city and country can be a daunting prospect. No matter how enthusiastic and keen you are to begin a new life in Chiang Mai there will be issues that will concern you. Whatever questions you have; whether they are legal (visas, regulations and the like), practical (how to find somewhere to live, get around or where to shop) or social (how do you make new friends?) you may find some of the answers at a Welcome Dinner for newcomers held at Thai Visa sponsor, Tuskers. We meet on Wednesday evenings twice a month from 7pm and for newcomers the meal is free as a way of welcoming you to Chiang Mai. For old hands that wish to attend and share their knowledge there is a nominal dining charge of just 100 baht. Booking is essential in order that we can cater for the correct numbers so please book on this form at the Tuskers website. The dinner an excellent place for you to find the information you need and to meet new friends. We hope to see you there and welcome to Chiang Mai. #2Posted 2008-01-09 17:45:32

The Tuskers web site mentions a welcome dinner scheduled for tomorrow (April 29th). Is this the same thing? There is no mention of time on their website; does anyone know what tim it will begin?
Thanks, Angela #8Posted 2008-04-29 15:37:50
Hi Angela,
Not 100% sure, but if you pop in between 6.30 and 7 pm tht should be fine. You can also drop a pm to miltonbentley (see posts #1 and 3) or give him a ring. See telephone number on his website. Enjoy your evening! Nienke #9Posted 2008-04-29 21:33:15
