Here are some other scenes around Chiang Mai.
This veggie lady has to be carrying at least 40 kilos or more in those baskets. She has to walk with a bounce in her step to keep in sequence with the baskets that bob up and down.
Thais love their trees and I like how they move the roads around them.
Thais can sleep anywhere at any time and eventually they sleep so long that somebody comes along and covers them in gold paint.

I've just did some house keeping to clean up the pinned topics here and in the FAQ sub forum. Actually the link to this topic is already in the pinned Chiangmai Information topic but have now separated it out.

Thanks. That makes it easier to find. I stumbled through several forums and got myself lost. Kan Win had a few beautiful photos of Doi Suthep in the rain... besides others.

We were in a canoe, not much storage space. To snap a pic of me, I had to hold my bag to give her room

I Kan as well see all the photos.
Thank you 'Tywais' for pinning this topic in the correct place. I have tried to get this topic pinned for many a year, job done now.
As for 'IanForbes' Quote Some of you might recognize this place, but it's nowhere close to Chiang Mai...
Koh Samui ?
Good photos from all of our Members on here, I thank you.
Keep them coming
Yours truly,
Kan Win

I love this one, Ajarn. It leaves you wondering what is around the corner. The angles are all correct and the curving road sort of tells a story. Did you scan the photos off slide film or off old negatives? There is always a difference between scanned film and digital.

Here is a better photo of her taken 12 years ago.
This is the same place in Koh Samui where the "Gramma rock" and "Grampa rock" are tourist attractions...
This is what she looks like today, with the photo taken at Koh Larn.

All of the 2002+ photos are digital.
This is one of my favorite photos, too

What were all those people fishing for, Ajarn? There sure are a lot of them in a small area.
Most often it's just a few anglers with a number of rods out waiting for something to bite.
I enjoy fishing, but don't have the patience to wait for hours hoping something will bite. I prefer casting to fish that I know are there.

At some places for sure. In my shot, taken near Phrao is a small village with not too many places to fish and socialize, so it is a 'group' activity more than the standard 'alone' activity.
