I need a new double tourist visa, I am expireing in a week. If I use an agent to send it to Penang for a visa, is that legal?

As I have heard everybody are using services of visa agents instead of doing a visa run? What's the deal here?

Depending, if  personal appearance isn't necessary.

It is illegal to send via an agent. It is however, commonly done but you must be aware of the risks which include being black banned from entry to Thailand.

I was extending my Non-Immigrant visa last week. I got it initially from the infamous S&A Visa Co in BKK (Vince). The immigration didn't want to extend it first, but they finally did. They told me not to use these agents anymore, and that they "gonna catch him soon".

So it looks that S&A are in the deep shit. Anyone had problems with agents??
