Hey 'ajarndave' I don't know how long you have been in Thailand for but maybe you should suss out the we aren't FALUNG's and also maybe you should run whatever crap you write through a spell checker before posting!!!
#28Posted 2004-09-23 08:02:35 Quote He said he had learned from Somrak that the man liked to have unprotected sex with school girls, whom he allegedly paid between Bt2,000 and Bt3,000. Sorry ... I'm not that good a Buddhist! As a man and a father, I think he should be compelled to take an HIV test, and if found positive he should be given a lethal injection on the spot! #29Posted 2004-09-23 08:10:36 toss, on Thu 2004-09-23, 07:32:33, said: Hey 'ajarndave' I don't know how long you have been in Thailand for but maybe you should suss out the we aren't FALUNG's and also maybe you should run whatever crap you write through a spell checker before posting!!! What, pray tell is a falung when it's at home? A new sex act? Not really sure that your post has any bearing on a German with supposed Hiv #30Posted 2004-09-23 09:43:24 ajarndave, on Thu 2004-09-23, 00:05:50, said: I have been comming here for the last 20 years and have witnessed the decline (to almost abolishment) of obvious, genuine respect for the falung. but realise I'm not Thai and never will be... and to be honest I dont want to be, (that would take a full frontal labotomy and I dont like scars..) At work we have a saying, " If there is any possible way it can ####up, some Thai #### will find it, and it will become the "word of GOD"" I love it here, the insanity, moronicy, and the sweet... sweet p###y Perhaps it's because it's difficult to respect bigoted, sex tourists? #31Posted 2004-09-23 10:14:20
I don't understand.
As prostitution is illegal in Thailand (I know it doesn't seem true, but it is !!!), why can't he be charged with having sex with those girl for money ? #32Posted 2004-09-23 10:30:15 p1p, on Wed 2004-09-22, 18:11:17, said: What was her previous occupation, me wonders. Update:
German in Aids-scare saga held Man accused of infecting his wife to be deported for visa violations CHAIYAPHUM: -- Chaiyaphum police said yesterday that the German accused of infecting his former wife and other women with HIV would be deported for overstaying his visa. The German, whose visa expired three years ago, was arrested at his house and would be sent to Muang district police for further processing, said Major Thanomsak Intabutr, chief of the provincial tourist police. The man has not been confirmed by a medical doctor of having HIV. All schools in the province had been alerted to the man after his ex-wife warned that he had the habit of buying sex from students, said Udom Sangnak, a community leader. The police action and the community’s reaction to avoid the suspected carrier came under criticism from Aids activists who said such measures were ineffective at protecting people from infection. Worse still, the shunning of the man was a violation of human dignity, said Bangkok Senator Jon Ungpakorn, a leading advocate. “His right to live with others in the community should be respected, whether he is HIV-positive or not,” Jon said, adding that the reports of discrimination were discouraging and did not bode well for the global effort to fight HIV/Aids and the stigmatisation that it brings. Every province has people living with HIV/Aids. Rather than ostracise them, other people should be informed about risky behaviour, such as engaging in unprotected sex, he said. Nimit Thien-udom, director of the Aids Access Foundation, said the problem was not about having foreign partners. “There are many local men and women who have unprotected sex,” he said. “We can’t tell people not to have sex. We can tell them, however, to practice safe sex.” Nimit said his organisation would organise a public discussion on Sunday to educate the public on the subject. Provincial authorities have pledged to step up public campaigns for safe sex as statistics show young people account for the majority of HIV-positive cases upcountry, with rising incidence among high-school and college students. --The Nation 2004-09-23 #35Posted 2004-09-23 11:58:15
Well, there you go.... He's an HIV positive, 3 year over-stay, wife abuser, attempted murderer (via unprotected sex).
but, how odd that the Aids Groups would speak out in his defense. #36Posted 2004-09-23 12:59:51
Funny how they always manage to find "visa violations" whenever somebody becomes too much of a headache.
#37Posted 2004-09-23 13:01:49
I think that a lot depends on exactly who the wife is. She seems to be getting an awful lot of press time- surely there are other people who have contracted AIDS through unprotected sex who even know who probably gave it to them- why haven't we seen a whole slew of news like this from Thais/farang accusing others?
I rarely believe any article about crime/sex in Thailand, and this article hasn't changed that trend. "Steven" #38Posted 2004-09-23 13:04:02
It sounds like Bull to me....But if it is true he should be prosecuted for attempted murder.

Because why chose an abusive, overstaying, philandering, alledgedly attempted murderer for your "poster child"? There are many other HIV+ people that are decent citizens that they can be used to further the causes these groups admittedly respectable causes. They dirty their names by associating with the likes of him. #46Posted 2004-09-23 16:01:08 Is he HIV+? We DON'T know. Did he beat his wife? We DON'T know. Was he having unprotected sex with school kids? We DON'T know. IF he is HIV+ (we don't know if he is or not) Was it him who infected his wife? or was it his wife who infected him? We DON'T know. Jeez i would hate to be on trial with some of you lot on the Jury. Oh and if he is guilty of knowingly infecting people with HIV or beating women etc then he deserves swift justice leagal or not, However like i say WE JUST DONT KNOW THE FACTS!!!!! #47Posted 2004-09-23 16:19:33
yeah - but why let the facts get in the way of a good story
seems to me the only thing we do know is that he is on overstay (but that could be false too) #48Posted 2004-09-23 16:35:53
IT WAS SAID:
If found positive - given a fair trial - then hang him! "first they came for the Jews" Sounds hand in glove to me. No proof, only conjecture, so hunt him down, then a typical Thai Kangaroo court, then execution. Just like Dachau or Buchenvald!! I live in the general area (south east of Udon Thani), am of the same general age, do ocassionally limp (bad knee), but am not German. Hoo Boy am I lucky! All of this is B.S. in this place. #49Posted 2004-09-23 22:03:38
No need for a trial as it seems the only offense the authorities are pusuing is the small matter of staying here since 2001 without a visa. Just surprising that the AIDS groups would pick his case to stand up for, even if the only thing he is guilty of is the blatant disregard for Immigration regulations.

Update:
Thai police arrest German in HIV/AIDS scare BANGKOK: -- Thai police plan to deport a German man for overstaying his visa by three years in the wake of community fears that he was a carrier of HIV/AIDS and was having unprotected sex with young school girls. Hans-Otto Schiemann, 55, born in Schweinfurt, Germany, was arrested in Chaiyaphum province, 270 kilometres northeast of Bangkok, Wednesday on charges of overstaying his tourist visa. Schiemann was scheduled to be brought to Chaiyaphum district court Thursday afternoon where he is likely to be fined for visa violations and ordered deported from the kingdom, said Chaiyaphum Police Lieutenant Colonel Khampol Nonuch. Police inspected Schiemann's passport on the prompting of his former wife, a Thai national who recently tested positive for HIV and told community leaders she contracted the deadly virus from her husband. The ex-wife also informed authorities that her husband was fond of purchasing unprotected sex from young school girls. "We don't know whether Schiemann has AIDS or not and we have no authority to test him," said Khampol. He said Schiemann was likely to be transferred to Bangkok's Suan Phlu immigration detention centre for deportation. Thailand, known for its booming sex industry, has an estimated 600,000 cases of HIV/AIDS. --DPA 2004-09-24 |
