The problem is that there are already a lot of pinned threads, and they kick active threads off the main page. Would you like to add these to "Grammar Heaven" and restyle the whole thing something like "Support Materials Galore (Worship Wang)"?

Do these labs provide live frogs for dissection? Do you really want to see a beating heart? I don't have a frog's heart but I hope this will be good enough for you. Here's a few resources for conversation teachers (click on the lesson title to download the file): ESL Questions and Activities - Lots of topics, hundreds of questions, and a few games,; all designed to get your students talking. These questions and activities are for all learner levels. I'm looking for something as I'm teaching conversation to a couple of policemen tomorrow. #6Posted 2008-05-28 16:56:19

This thread is out of date and needs updating. Could somebody post live links to ESL and English websites, please?

This thread is out of date and needs updating. Could somebody post live links to ESL and English websites, please? Why don't you just delete this thread and prevent people from wasting 20 minutes of their life like I just did? To help out any poor souls that have got this far .. here's a "working" link to an absolute "Pirates Treasure Chest" of resources. http://englishtips.org It's a Russian site .. but is also in English. It has textbooks, videos, powerpoints .. everything. Edited by tmark, 2009-11-15 10:47:22. #13Posted 2009-11-15 13:36:58
Thanks. I had a look. Lots of interesting stuff, but I find it very, very difficult to negotiate. Russian isn't my language and I am not very versatile with web sites.
I am sure we have folks who will find it easier than me, however. #14Posted 2009-11-15 13:45:48
Sorry .. here's a link direct to the English version ...

Thanks.

One more thing .. most of the compressed "rar" files have a password. It took a bit of looking around the site to find it. It's easy to remember though .. it's " englishtips.org " .. pretty stupid huh?

I have created a hobby for myself; a tiny website with 90 - 100 short role play conversations.
It's a hobby, so its all free and non-commercial, no ads, no passwords and I don't want to know your e-mail. The problem is that I am not sure I want to flaunt my site here on the forum. Secondly, it might not be allowed. There are probably rules and regulations concerning web addresses. #18Posted 2010-02-12 13:57:07
If you want to send me the site, I will inquire with the admin and we can probably put it in this topic.
The rules are fairly specific about advertising. #19Posted 2010-02-12 16:21:50
I use englishtips.org constantly. It has books on almost any subject. It is the best I have found for books and textbooks.

One of our posters, bow, has developed some conversations. His website is:
http://sites.google....yconversations/ It's worth a look, and personally, I will be giving these to some teachers to use. I know they will appreciate them; and I am sure others will as well. #21Posted 2010-02-15 13:03:26
