Does anyone know of any other martial arts taught in Phuket besides Muay thai? I know there is a large chines community I thought perhaps one of them might? If not can anyine recommend the best Muay thai gym in terms of using it as a drop in whenever suits me best as I work different hours?

The Muay Thai gyms usually all open from 7am to 9.30am and 16.00 to 18.30 but at most gyms you should be able to negotiate a training time outside of these hours in form of personal training.
I don't know about other martial arts.

I used to see kids dressed in Karate style gi's, coming out of the sports hall at Saphan Hin, Phuket Town.
Not sure what form of martial arts they were doing, or if there were adult classes, but might be worth a sniff around. My gut feeling, is that there will be something other than Muay Thai on the island somewhere. Keep us posted if you find anything. I always fancied trying Bushido myself. (or whatever the one is, where you fight with sticks, while wearing a fencing style mask and a big dress??)
