History shows when demonstrations of this kind build up as they seem to be inevitably there will be trouble. Despite the PAD saying it will be a peaceful march there will be those that want to cause trouble and once it starts the ending is always the same as the police have no choice but to do something. I hope it doesnt happen but that would contradict everything that has happened before. Romania, If I remember right, they went into Parliament behead the Dictator and got democracy...... #27Posted 2008-06-20 14:12:29
TNN now showing what just looks like police mingling with demonstrators.
One good thing is that when their lines are breached the police just seem to keep their discipline. #28Posted 2008-06-20 14:14:20
Thank you. Please keep us informed !

I'm sure he'll address this small issue in his own good time. #41Posted 2008-06-20 14:35:43 #42Posted 2008-06-20 14:36:21

Samak is going to be pretty upset at how easily the PAD reached government house.

TOC live English News specualting on what Samak will do and that Chalerm has apparently disappeared! Maybe Samak came around what happened in Romania, even if his head is almost empty he don't want to loose it. All these wanna be dictators only have big mouth. Chalerm the tiger, lool. #48Posted 2008-06-20 14:52:18
TOC reporting that one way the police are trying to stop upcountry people reaching Bangkok is by laying nails across roads! Quite what this has to do with upholding the democratic right to assemble and freedom to travel is hard to understand not to mention how causing damage to private property is actually a role of the police.
