It is the low water season. The beaches are wide and white, the coral reefs and rocks poking through or exposed at low tide.

the winds are blowing northeast, so bottle beach is perfectly protected from the winds. there isn't much coral there either so the low tide just means that you can walk really far out with no worries. perfect time of the year weatherwise to go there.

On the northeast side?
Wouldn't the tides be the same around the entire island? #10Posted 2008-07-11 12:03:58
On the northeast side? Wouldn't the tides be the same around the entire island? Maybe not according to a leading Thai hydrologist. http://www.thaivisa....-W-t117475.html #11Posted 2008-07-13 20:13:30
