I'm on DTAC unfortunately so I can't take advantage of this, but I thought those of you on AIS might be interested:

From here: http://voipthai.blog...onal-calls.html

If you're in Thailand and have an AIS/One2Call phone, you can take advantage of FREE international calls.

This service is available only to 5 destinations - USA/China/Hong Kong/Singapore and Canada.

There is no charge for international call - its FREE but you will be charge 2/baht a minute by AIS.

Simple dial *490049 and hit the call button then wait for voice prompts to enter the destination number you wanna call.

Fuss free .. worth a try !

Try dialing 0050 then 44 then the number.

AIS callcentre told me it was 2 baht per minute but give them a call just in case.

My call was just a normal call as you would expect on any system

Dial 008+ country code, it's very cheap.

To resurrect an old but still relevant thread...I just tried the 0050 number on AIS to the states. Horrible connection. Couldn't hear a thing but static and half of every other word. Will try 008 or 004 next time.
