Soi Arunothai is Soi 1 off Pattaya Klang, turn south at the traffic lights near Big C Extra (Carrefoure) To make that easier. Heading up Pattaya Klang from Beach road towards Sukhumvit Road turn right at the traffic lights at BigC Xtra. Heading down Pattaya Klang to beach road from Sukhumvit road turn left at the lights. Shagwell Hotel is on the corner of Arunothai Soi 7 which will be on your left hand side. Shagwell / Wombat / Outback are all part of the same complex between soi 7 & soi 9. Large beers 65 / 75 Baht for Chang / Leo. Friday is happy hour all night. Music stops at 01-00 each morning. #55Posted 2012-04-27 12:57:05
I have been asked to do an hour as a geust 'DJ' so get your requests in...... I will double check but I think the promoters said it will start 25th May, It's all for charity 400Baht to get in and free drink all night.... The Northern Soul Night will be held in the Boomerang Bar, next to the Wombat Hotel (27 Soi Arunothai, Pattaya Klang, Pattaya City, Chonburi 20260, Thailand, opposite Nirum Condo), on Saturday 26th May 2012, the cost per ticket is 400 baht, that includes free San Miguel Light and free wine from 8.00pm till 10.00pm. All proceeds from the 400 baht go to charity. Check out the Boomerang Bar, i believe it has the best live music in pattaya with our Filipino Band, playing 7 nights a week. Great drink prices, happy hours etc. Hope to see you all there. #57Posted 2012-04-27 13:58:14

For anyone interested and who is on Facebook, there is a "pattaya soul club" and I believe the organisers of this event are members of it.

Good air con in there too and plenty of fans to keep the cool air moving about.
But if it rains, expect a shower. Whoever did the roof must have not realised rain gets in where you leave gaps #68Posted 2012-05-23 12:13:51
Is the music live or is it DJ? 400 baht is a tad high if only to listen to a DJ.
#69Posted 2012-05-25 15:55:50
It's DJs, quite difficult to get 1960s Soul artists to Pattaya to sing 'Live' most of 'em are dead.......
400Baht includes free beer and wine til 10.. and all proceeds to charity #70Posted 2012-05-25 16:19:03
Yes a very small world, loved them days “never saw much drama at any soul venue I attended, I cannot remember if they used to have door men at many clubs (but must have).
Northern had a big following in Derbyshire at that time; you would see people at other venues throughout the country and pick up right where you left of last time. It is great that Mr Plumes and his crew have got something like this of the ground; I will defiantly be popping in when I get home at the end of the month. There seams to be a good response to the thread, so hope the events get well attended, I for one will gladly spend 400Bht (with a charity being involved also) just for the music to remind me that I was 19 at some time. Se u soon #71Posted 2012-05-25 23:26:33
