A simple question and hopefully a simple answer.
My Thai wife is currently in the UK (has a Thai and British passport) where she will be for some time. I am looking after things here.
Unfortunately my wife's Thai ID card expires in September. Is she able to obtain a new one in the UK from say The Royal Thai Embassy in London, as you can with a Thai passport, or will she have to wait for her return to Thailand?
Would A Forum Member Know The Answer To This Question?

NO
She has to return to thailand for the thai I.D - at any district as long as she has the tabienban "the blue book" w/her. Edit: If she don’t need the thai ID for any reasons anytime soon, then just tell her to wait until the next time when she will be back in Thailand again for the renewal. The district will only charge her a small penalty fee for her late renewal. Edited by teacup, 2008-08-06 14:01:00. #4Posted 2008-08-06 16:01:49
