Very convincing in the end but would have to admit we got another big slice of luck at the start. Like the Rangers game Hearts had the ball over the line but it was not given as linesmans view blocked by players on the line. To add insult to injury as far as Hearts was concerned Celtic almost immediately went to the other end and scored. Brown hammered in after a fortunate deflection off Samaras.
No 2 was another fortunate deflection after a Forrest shot but terrific control and shot from Wanyama. Ledley no 3 heading in a great cross from Samaras after one of the Hearts players dawdling was robbed by Brown. 3-0 at halftime for a rampant Celtic. No4 came from a corner headed back across by Wanyama and Hooper on the line slammed it in. Apart from the start an excellent Celtic display. #1027Posted 2012-02-10 05:53:33
Nice wee story from the Record:
SCOTT BROWN last night insisted the best is yet to come from Celtic this season after leading them to a 16th straight domestic win at Tynecastle. The Parkhead skipper scored his fourth goal in as many games as the Hoops juggernaut gathered even more momentum in Edinburgh. Brown believes the emphatic 4-0 victory was Celtic’s best performance of a campaign which has seen them go from 15 points behind Old Firm rivals Rangers to four in front. Hearts were obliterated in front of their own fans and while the win was both comprehensive and controversial the midfielder is adamant the league leaders can get even better. #1028Posted 2012-02-12 01:59:34
Celtic 1 Inverness Ct 0
A nervy 1-0 win at Parkhead restored our 4 point lead over Rangers who had won in the early game. Joe Ledley on the mark again showing good anticipation to score with a far post tap in. Just saw a minutes highlight on Sky Sports. Majstorovic in for injured Rogne is sent off in the 60th minute for bringing down Hayes. It looked as if he may have got the ball first but if he had been awake there would not have been a problem. Hopefully Rogne will be back for next game. Majstorovic is far too slow and is a liability in the Celtic defence. Williams was sent off in the 78th minute for a second yellow to even the numbers up. #1029Posted 2012-02-14 06:29:20
A wee Valentine's Day message from the people at Celtic Quick News:
There are not words powerful enough to describe today’s news. The English language is insufficient and I have no Greek or Latin. Rangers Football Club have today asked the Court of Session to appoint an administrator, unable to service their creditors. The freight train of their tax tribunal has yet to hit, these events relate exclusively to how the club has operated in other areas. Scottish Premier League rules state that clubs are deducted 10 points on going into administration, which will give Celtic a 14 point lead at the top of the table once in effect. This is a day we have predicted will come for over three years. It has been inevitable for that long. Now the really interesting events will happen. We don’t need no stinkin’ Rangers. Up the Celts! #1030Posted 2012-02-14 06:39:29
No mercy here is there?

It is the defrauding of Her Majesty that horrifies me.

For every fiver Celtic spend , Rangers will spend a tenner. David Murray bawbag extrordinaire!

Rangers now in administation with an appointed administrator. The 10 point deduction which will automatically follow means we will be 14 points ahead and almost certain to win the SPL.
The chickens have come home to roost at Ibrox. #1034Posted 2012-02-15 05:42:40

There will be finger pointing and ramifications at Ibrox . No doubt they have got themselves into a dreadful mess. I would think that a humbler Rangers will emerge from the wreckage eventually. Looks like the Gers were not so Super after all. #1040#1041#1042#1043Posted 2012-02-16 12:02:17

More good news for Celtic this week.
(I hope we don't need to use him though!) DANIEL MAJSTOROVIC has had his red card rescinded following an appeal by Celtic. The giant Swedish centre-half was sent off in Celtic's 1-0 win over Inverness on February 11. Ref Steven McLean flashed a straight red to the Hoops stopper following a challenge on Caley forward Johnny Hayes. However, replays suggested the international defender played the ball. Celtic appealed through the Scottish Football Association's fast-track disciplinary process on Tuesday and Majstorovic was cleared by the tribunal today. The successful appeal means Majstorovic will be part of the squad plans for this Sunday’s visit to Hibs. A club statement read: "The red card was rescinded and Majstorovic returns to the squad plans for this Sunday's visit to Easter Road." #1045Posted 2012-02-17 07:46:45
CB, Hopefully Rogne will be fit for Sunday's game and resume his partnership with Wilson. They have looked fairly solid when they are together. The Swede frightens the em manure out of me. He is lamentably slow and liable to go to sleep at a moments notice.

Hibernian 0 Celtic 5
Another win moves the Bhoys 7 + 10 points ahead and surely heading for the title. 2 early goals by Stokes and Hooper had us 2-0 ahead in 20 minutes. Any hope Hibs had of getting back evaporated when Mulgrew scored from a fee kick early in the 2nd half. Hooper and Ki made it 5-0 at the end. An easy win though poor defending by Hibs made it more emphatic. #1047Posted 2012-02-20 05:23:26
If you don't win the title this year pack it all in.
I feel a bit sorry for Neil Lennon though......the amount of abuse he took three months ago from his won fans was a disgrace to Celtic football club. I'm not a great fan of his, but he deserves a massive round of applause after the scandalous abuse that has been poured down on him in the last two years. #1048Posted 2012-02-20 07:14:15
From the Daily Record........
Whyte is facing investigations over how he purchased the club and what happened to £24.4million he received from Ticketus as an advance on season ticket sales. Administrator David Whitehouse yesterday said the money had been traced. He said: “The cash (from Ticketus) has not come into Rangers’ bank account. It went through a lawyer’s bank account. “We now have some visibility of that money. We will clarify it all next week.” So they have traced the £24.2 million............ #1049Posted 2012-02-20 07:18:23
Need to have good eyes to read that ^ up there!

We always wondered what would happen when the cash runs out at big clubs....here is your answer. Interesting that Sky Sports commitment to Scottish football relies on them showing 4 old firm games a year.......
Scottish football is in a very scary place right now. |
