Hi All,

We are visiting Patong in a week or so...

Which place is the best to go to for beer....

I'm more of a fan of Belgian Ale's then lagers.. But I also like to try a lot of beer :D

Not fussed about price... I've paid some hefty prices for beer at the Belgian Beer Cafe in melbourne :o

I'm a beer snob, its a hard job but someone has to do it :D

Thanks :D

I have not found any draft 'ales' on Patong Island. Some English bars sell cans of 'bitter' & 'ales'. I know the Offshore Bar on Nanai Rd sells a variety of tinned & bottled dark beers. The best dark draft I can find is Kilkenny sold at the bigger Irish Bars. Molly Mallones & Scruffy Murfies in Patong, O'Tooles in Karon, and The Greeman (an English Tudor style pub) in Chalong.

That Belgian place in Melbourne (off St Kilda Road) is diabolical. A sausage factory in the guise of a bar complex. Why people flock to it I'll never know. As for Phuket, if your main concern is where to get a Belgian beer, have you considered changing your booking to Belgium?
