From the USA, I mailed a large package to dear friends in Bangkok and they received it
today...it took less than a week! #27Posted 2008-12-18 17:43:24
Hi,
I recieved a Xmas card today. Posted on the 4th of December. Am living near Phimi Korat Province. Cheers. jb1 #28Posted 2008-12-18 18:04:20
I got two air mail letters from the USA in recent days, no obvious delays. I live near the airport, so maybe the postal service just throws them out of the airplane as it lands. I get a monthly newsletter by airmail from the US. Late last week I got the newsletter from November. Yesterday I got the newsletter from October. But that's up here in Nong Bualamphu, so it's a bit farther from the airfield. #29Posted 2008-12-18 18:11:42

I sent a parcel from the UK on the 28th of nov to Aranyaprathet, still not arrived. Anybody with better luck ? Good news, it arrived on friday 3 weeks after i posted it. My girlfriend said it looked like someone had a look in side but nothing missing. #32Posted 2008-12-20 07:56:55
I posted a small packet to Chiang Mai on the 10th from the UK and it arrived there yesterday, so 9 days. I'm relieved it actually got there after reading this thread.

I received a letter from the United States Government dated Nov 25th a couple of days ago, and a sticker was placed over the return address saying Royal International couriers Bangkok. I think this is a company the Postal dept was using to try and catch up on the mail delivery.

from 24th november im still waiting for a letter with CAD $ hidden in it and governement documents from canada...
Lost hope. #35Posted 2008-12-20 12:15:26
Whilst we have received mail that was posted after the airport protests began and the odd cheap rubbish type mail from before then we still haven't received most of the mail that was posted before - including an expensive parcel. Also the volume of mail we receive now seems to be lower than we received pre-protests. Frustrating.

I received a letter last week, sent from the UK September 6th! #38Posted 2008-12-21 12:22:28
Don't remember the exact dates, but I had an EMS document package sent to me from Shanghai the day before the airport blockage started. Took it about 10 days to arrive rather than the normal 3-4 but I got it.

Several packages and parcels from Germany maile din November are missing. And an ordinary letter from bangkok to Pattaya dodn't make it either. And stuff mailed from Suvarnabhumi seems to have been stolen as well.
You all better watch out |
