THAI to leave Don Mueang airport

BANGKOK: -- Thai Airways International (THAI) will move all of its flights from Don Mueang airport to Suvarnabhumi airport, starting on March 29, the airline's acting president, Baribgsaj Sangapong, said on Friday.

He admitted the change could be confusing for foreign travellers who have booked the tickets in advance.

Things would be made clearer at a press conference to be held later today, he said.

During the Songkran festival in April, three aircraft would be at the Don Mueang airport to serve travellers who may be confused about the change of airport.

But afterward, all THAI operations would be shifted to Suvarnabhumi airport, he said.

How is parking 3 planes at DM gonna help the confused? Is he gonna fly to them to Suvarhnabhumi to catch their scheduled flight or is he offering to fly them to Udon one at a time? No wonder TG is in the state it is financially.

LOL and absolutely brilliant:

During the Songkran festival in April, three aircraft would be at the Don Mueang airport to serve travellers who may be confused about the change of airport.

Do note when booking online their website has updated flights in/out Swamy for 29 March onwards

Last week I received a email from thai stating that my flight from Khon Kean to Don Muang on the 17th April has been moved to Swampy but no mention of my outward flight on 10th April.

I could believe they would lay on extra flights for that time, but the reasons printed look like the journalist guessing/talking crap.
