This afternoon the line kept going on and off (2-3min on, 2-3min off). Gave them some time in case they are working on something and router resets did not help.
Called True this evening on 02-900-9000 and got through quite fast to a person (Mr. Patachai - not sure about spelling) who spoke very good English.
His suggestion was:
Take out the splitter from our line for at least one hour and run the ADSL router directly on the phone line.
(No problem since we don't have a phone on this line anyway, only a dial-up modem on a PC connected to the phone outlet of the splitter)
Since I run directly now without splitter on the line everything is just fine.
My question is:
Why did he suggest the one hour thing?
Does he think our splitter has a problem or has it something to do with their set-up?
In the past few days the domestic speed has gone up to 170-180% of our subscribed speed but international remains at 80-90% as usual.
Could this have something to do with this?
