You can get a pre-arranged visa at any one of the 3 International Airports in Vietnam.  I've used Vietnam Stay/Aurora Travel on multiple occassions with no problems.  There are other good agencies that will do this as well.

I was also sceptical and concerned it was a scam, but I applied 2 weeks ago and used it last week....just follow the instructions, it worked very well.
Go for the visa on arrival as it took only 5 minutes to complete when I arrived in Ha Noi.

Done it a couple of times and always went without a hitch. Make sure you have a copy of the paperwork to be let on the plane.

Please refrain from using the zero as the letter "O". This makes it more difficult to find this topic with the search funciton, as people will enter HANOI and not HAN0I.

Title of topic adjusted.

US$ was what I had to pay.  I don't remember seeing any ATM's prior to exiting immigration, so best to have $$ with you.

there are so many agencies offering the approval letter which entitles travellers to fly to vietnam without visa ...
but i am still afraid that i can not trust those services ...

but obviously, many of you guys tried it out already ... and it's working, isn't it?

any special recommendation? which agency is quite trustful?
i read a lot about vietnamstay ... any other recommendations?

www.vietnamvisaonline.net

Recently, Jan 16th, I returned from the USA and picked up my visa at the airport. It was easy and fast and I loved the service. I am an expat living in Hoi An and have had many hassels over the years with visas. Getting a 3 months work visa was a pain to say the least and this new service is great. Its safe, fast and reasonably price.
Check out the site. Works just fine.

When I went to Ha Noi in December it seemed like half the 'plane were queueing at the visa on arrival window.

Great for me as I went straight to the front of the Immigration queue.

If you print the on arrival form at home and fill your information, glue your photos on it, you will only need 2 minutes at Vietnam airport. Just hand in and leave! Some agencies do not suggest their clients in advance so they will spend time at airport

You dont state nationality. If you are scandinavian you dont need visa for vietnam up to 2 weeks stay.

You need ticket out but they never checked it the times I went to vietnam.

I used a company called myvietnamvisa.com - $19.99 for the letter (1 month single entry) & then I paid $25 at the airport. The letter fee varies depending on type/length of visa & whether you want standard or, express service. Do a google search for myvietnamvisa.com & have a play about with their fee calculator.
