Thailand's H1N1 cases tally reaches nearly one thousand

BANGKOK: -- Thailand's Ministry of Public Health said Wednesday that the country's total number of influenza A(H1N1) patients has now risen to 985, as 86 new cases have been confirmed.

Public Health Minister Witthaya Kaewparadai said that among the new cases, 63 are students.

The minister, however, said that of the 985 cumulative total, 970 patients have fully recovered and are at home, with only 15 remaining in hospital.

Regarding the case of a 57-year-old woman contracting the H1N1 flu and in critical condition with symptoms of pneumonia, Mr. Witthaya said the patient was recovering but still needs a respirator and is under close medical surveillance.

Last night on the radio news (English), they said the lady had made a full-recovery.  One of the fastest recoveries I've ever heard of.  I can't even recover from a good handover as quickly as she did.

Does that include swines?

I just read in the paper that they discovered a 35,000 year old flute. Those oldies but goodies.
