Just heard that the tower at the airport was damaged by something. Not sure what, hope not a plane.

a friend of mine just called from phuket asking what happened, i live in bonkai so very close to the airport and i haven't heard anything special so far.

Bangkok TV is reporting crash at end of runway with fatalities.

I just heard a news bulletin that a Thai Air Asia aircraft ran off the runway in a rain storm at Samui Airport. No report of fatalities as of yet, but their are reports of injuries. details to follow.

Apparently slipped either on landing or take off - we have just had some very heavy rain .

Well if you live so close, go and have a look with your camera. Preferably from the opposite side of the runway from the terminal.
