Sure glad to hear about improvements at Phuket. Hopefully in 5 years I won't even have to stop in Bangkok. Direct flights into Phuket would be very good for tourism there.

This is about Krung Thep. Anyhow there are direct flights to Phuket. Not that place allready is over crowded lol

That just about sums it up. Having just been through Hong Kong again there is absolutely no chance that Swampy Airport will ever be anything more than a hub of corruption. It's arguably the worst airport in SE Asia and nowhere near world class.

agree with sideymai. Arrival at swampy is not as bad as departurer. Have said before make swampy a domestic terminal and try again. It cannot be that hard. I think Asia have the 3 top airports in the world or is it more.

Speaking at a seminar yesterday entitled "The Path to Be a Regional Hub", organised by AOT, Serirat also said the agency would try to assure Suvarnabhumi Airport's status among the world'/s top 10 airports despite being affected by the forced closure late last year.

wouldn't chiangmai or korat be a better alternative? the new airport works perfectly well. think of the job creation n the final destinationa of most tourists. would say less than 70% these days make bangkok or pattaya their final destinations. what about south thailand? the south needs a great helping hand in job creation. it may even help bring unity to thailand if every thai irregardless of religion or faith can gel together to bring getter prosperity n diversity to thailand.
