its a Lutino Peach-faced Lovebird - somebody is definately missing a pet...

heh. think it can survive? i've seen another big green parrot around my house on 3 occasions. i thought the same thing... he's a runaway. pretty bad ass looking bird for a telephone wire snap.

escaped birds do often survive very well in the wild.. whether this one will, i honestly don't know.
Its got to find its own (safe & edible - could unknowingly poison itself) food and avoid predation from other birds, not easy when all its ever known is probably just a small cage with people taking care of & talking to it all day long.. If it shows up again, you could always try to lure it down with food (& sweet talk  ) then re-capture it.. Try and get a pic of the other 'big green parrot' around your house.. would be interested to see that. #6

Try and get a pic of the other 'big green parrot' around your house.. would be interested to see that. funny thing happened about an hour ago. the yellow bird flew over the backyard around 11:30pm. and i will eventually get a picture of the green parrot. on the third siting of the green parrot, it landed no more than 10 feet from me on a fence. i talked to it in both thai and english, it didn't respond. but, more interestingly, it did not fly away immediately. i've seen him 3 times, within 2 months over a 1 kilometer area. (i walk my dog every morning, so it won't be much longer). and oh yeah, thanks for the thoughts! #7

i talked to it in both thai and english, it didn't respond. i would be astounded if it did talk back to you..  cos this one probably is a wild bird.. maybe a parrot, could be a barbet #8

I know of at least two African Grey escapees recently.
If they find a palm oil plantation, we can expect to see juniors.  Keep an eye out for that flash of red tail feathers. |
