Bought a new PC, i7 920 running Vista 64bit and Firefox 3.5.3
Home page is my.yahoo and gives me rubbish. When trying to go yahoo mail get Firefox can't find the server at mail.yahoo.com.
Can't find yahoo groups neither, some websites I visit show rubbish also, but most are fine, such as TV.

Deleted all cookies and cookies.sqlite at no avail.

Running Kaspersky Internet security 2009 with Firefox amongst authorised apps.
Have my brothers comp running same Kaspersky and can access everything on his PC

I have been checking options all over the place and searching for hours at no avail.
Some other websites show rubbish also, but only a few

I experienced problems with Search engines to begin with, cleared them all and have some working (google.com) but not: Firefox can't find the server at search.yahoo.com.

Still don't have a clue :)

The last few days firefox can't find any servers, almost always have to try again.
A pain in the butt.

Have you tried another browser?
Is your brother using Firefox?

I get the same error message from time to time for servers that I know are there and should be found. I just click the Try Again button again and again until the True DNS find the server. (I say this as I think it's their DNS causing the problem).

Mail at yahoo has been up and down all week. I tried with FF3.5, Opera and Chrome.

Check for malware etc (malwarebytes.com),
If that is OK, then check your firewall log.
Sounds to me like you have an infection.
