Outside the windows of my house I have installed security grating (for lack of a better word). The problem is that the birds are using this as their personal crappers and on every window sill there is constantly a layer of cr*p.

Is there any way to prevent them from doing this? I have been dreaming of putting some current into the grating and electrocuting the little sh%t machines but it seems a bit drastic :)

Rubber snakes hanging in the wind (from eves) seems to keep most birds away. Also most people if they don't look close. :)

Have tried hanging a rubber snake in the grating but it does not appear to scare the birds.

Have had a couple of good reactions from people though :D
