I'm just curious.  If anyone has been anywhere near Sukhumvit Road they have seen the cranes and construction projects on seemingly every soi.

My questions are 1.  What are most of these projects.  2.  Who is making the money, 3.  Is this helping the Thai Economy

I was just thinking what Sukhumvit road would look like in 20 years and I saw a lot more tall buildings...

No doubt somebody was thinking the same thing 20 years ago.  It'd be cool if there were some photos of what it looked like back in 1989 posted someplace...  :)

There are going to be enormous traffic problems in a year or so on the one-way system around Soi 39  Sukhumvit to Petchburi Road and back.

In Soi Promphong there are (at least) 2 HUGE Condominiums being built, the Residents of which will have to use the very narrow one-way Sois to get to and from their property.

I really cannot understand why anyone would buy a Unit in these new Condos when it’s obvious that access / egress will be a major, continuing problem.
