Selling goods and services is one thing, but just creating a cool chain-gang of websites that do all the work for you and roll in the google-coin is quite another $$$$ spinner too

There are lots of websites pretending to be able to tell you how much a domain is worth. Most of them use the same method to estimate revenue from advertisements, calculate the revenue for two years, and then tell you that this is the value of the domain. Nothing else is taken into account, not even the cost of operating and maintaining the site. In my opinion, these so-called valuations are at best entertaining but certainly not to be relied upon if you plan to buy a domain.

I wonder how these guys get their data.  Alexa? Crystal ball?

One of my sites is a review / affiliate site. No ads at all, yet they show $2.85 daily ad revenue.  Also, when I compare their numbers to my AWStats, it's only about 40% of page views.

On another ad supported info site they show it as having 35,000 backlinks!!! 5555555555555555
