I just got notified that I have to make a trip on sunday.

But i have not gotten a re-entry permit.

I know the immigration office is open from 9AM - 12NOON, but not sure if they offer re-entry permits on saturday.

Can anyone confirm?

Edit: Sorry i just realized i posted this in general.. didn't mean to do that.. admin feel free to move to Visa questions.

Believe Chaeng Wattana may be open Saturday mornings for visa extensions of stay only (Suan Phlu was).

From an earlier post on the move thread the new office is not open on weekends -

Quote

the hours are : m-f 8:30 - 12:00 & 13:00 – 16:30

but that is what the old office also said on website but in fact they did have limited operations on Saturday mornings.

You can no longer obtain at the airport except in a real emergency.  I have only seen one report of this, and the member had to make many phone calls to eventually get it agreed from higher level .

Yeah this is what i thought.  And i know the airport re-entry is now closed, which is unfortunate.

Update:  I went to the new office, and it is not open on Sat or Sun.  I stand corrected.

Guess i will still try to get a re-entry permit when i pass thru immigration.  if not will just have to start the process over.

You can get a re-entry stamp at Chiang Mai airport - as you go through passport control there is a desk on the LHS that says you can get a re-entry permit

Mind it might be an old sign, and you do have to be flying international out of Chiang Mai
