Submaniacs post about boots for his girlfriend got me dreaming.

Ok ladies, we all know what this means. Post a pic of your favorite shoes, a pic of shoes you lust after, boots, whatever.

I love boots, wish I could own a really nice pair, but somehow, awesome biker boots don't seem as practical as wellies.

Dream the dream, cause most of us won't get to wear anything other than flip flops

Now, the first pair are brown maryjane pumps that I just couldn't resist. I have actually worn them. Twice!

I think those boots are attractive, sbk, but would they not be hot in Thailand? I like the look of boots, and I had a nice pair of western boots, but never found them practical for anything but riding. Yah, I know you gals go more for "style" than practicality, but isn't comfort an issue as well? Maybe that is why I wear running shoes or good fitting sandals all the time.

I confess to having a serious shoe fetish. Even once bought a pair of shoes i knew i wouldnt wear, just so i could look at them.. Funny thing is though, here i usually just end up wearing my comfy cheap rubber flip flops cuz i have little reason to wear dressy shoes. In London though, i had a mighty shoe and boot collection (still have, but packed away )

Inspired, I went out and bought a pair of shoes to go with a really cute pair of white trousers I bought in the US. They had been lacking in a really compatible shoe, and when I saw these, I thought, what the heck. How often does the right shoe come along?

I've always wondered what 'pumps' are when referring to women's shoes.

In England pumps are what we wear at school to do PE and had become a generic word for sports shoes until I guess 'trainers' took over (or sneakers to Americans)

^ Its funny because what sbk calls pumps i would call "court shoes". I was under the impression that pumps were any slip on style shoes without a heel or very low flat heel (which is also the same for school "pumps").


Maybe its a UK/US tomato/tomato thing?

Ladies and their shoes....

This is just one tiny corner of my friend, Aoh's shoe fetish. She's got a huge box of them in the closet.



But, I shouldn't talk. The last time I looked in my closet there were umteen pairs of hiking boots and runners. I should haul them all out and line them up for a photo. Strangely enough, most of them get used on a regular basis. Some are for warm weather and others for cold weather. Some can be worn in the river and others shouldn't go near water. I leave slip-ons at every door for stepping outside for brief time periods, but aren't too good for long walks.

I must use 2% of the total shoe storage space in our house.

yes, but you have to deal with not enough space to store them

I used to have a lot of corridor /hallway space for my shoes
but now have limited space.
so some shoes are packed up in storage boxes!

A few years ago when I was in Shanghai, I made the "mistake" of picking up some purses for friends back here in the USA. Now when I go, I usually end up having to buy a second suitcase to bring back all the purse requests!
