After days making screw ups and duplicating my 27 Gig i-tunes library I have finally moved it from my laptop hard drive to my external drive. This is a great result for me. However I'm never happy unless I'm struggling with my machine in some way. So, I would now like to tackle another task thats been bugging me. I would like to switch from i-tunes to Amarok (or similar). This would move me one big step away from windows dependency. Obviously I would like the switch to be as seamless as possible and still us my i-tunes library. Also I want to avoid further cock ups, especially after spending so long correcting my library. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas how trickie it will be?
As a start I have tried to direct Amarok to my external drive for the library. This did not work.
