I would suggest you tell us a few things to help frame the advice you receive.
Have you ever had a Thai boyfriend? Why are you interested in foreigners? Do you have any experience in romantic relationships? Are you happy only to meet foreigners for fun or did you have a more serious relationship in mind? #3Posted 2009-11-20 20:38:30
As the previous poster said, a little more information. Are you just curious (sexually) or is it a relationship that you are interested in? Also, where do you live?
Oh, and before I forget, welcome to the forum! #4Posted 2009-11-20 20:55:35
do not believe she knows this site and does not know others like tll and tf. I think she wants to find BF just here. welcome!

It'll definitely depend upon where you live. Finding sex is easier than finding a boyfriend. Gayromeo or another chat site might be a good place to start.

She'll be in for a surprise if she has got it wrong.

Go to DJ Station or Silom soi 4 and make friends with farang there, that's the place to find it, either that or the internet. I think if you are Thai then there are some things you need to know about farang and what they expect from a relationship because it's a bit different than what you may expect. Hopefully that farang will appreciate and be able to anticipate the differences too.

I am Thai, 29 years old.Live in Ladpraod area. never in relationship (with a man) before.I'm working at some publishing company.I'm looking for serious relationship.I like farang because I like western things such as movie, music, culture ect. and farang is kind of my type.(don't know how to explain) the reason that I post this topic because,I thought that I wanna be single forever (I'm sure that I like a man a few year ago but I don't want anyone to know (except my best friend) so I decide to be single) but after I went to Koh Chang I met someone (farang) accidentally.and we spent one day together (he doesn't know I am gay,I guess) after chatting,activities... suddenly I know this is what I've been looking for. All right guys, thanks again for your advice #10Posted 2009-11-21 20:44:20

I know what you mean by this, up to a few years ago I never really had been with a guy at all except for sexually a few times. Then when I was in Vietnam I met this guy and we talked a long time an started kind of kissing and stuff, no sex just some intimacy and I knew that that was what I wanted, an Asian guy. The problem is that there aren't enough Asian guys here where I live.

I was either working at my real job or in Thailand the last two summers. Where did you go in Nevada? Thanks for the input on the club post, now I have a job though so I will just earn money and drink normally now; three more weeks!

What you are looking for will not be easy and may not fit in with your present lifestyle. Some things for you to consider:
1. Most foreigners here are not long-term- they are tourists or temporarily posted workers. 2. The foreigners who can choose to stay here longer are often much older than you. 3. Many gay foreigners will not be interested in being 'in the closet' (means being secret about being gay) and will not be interested in helping you remain secret. 4. If you don't develop some gay Thai friendships you won't have anyone to talk with about your problems (and you will have some) in your own language. 5. Don't write off your own nationality just yet- try a fling or two with some Thai guys and see if your 'type' can't be stretched a little or a lot. #17Posted 2009-11-25 04:05:29
1. Most foreigners here are not long-term- they are tourists or temporarily posted workers. Some very good points. I'm certainly thankful for Thais that like farang but I'm only in Thailand 2 weeks per year. That's not a boyfriend, that's companionship and (hopefully) some fun times. Making friends from all over the world but remaining single is something that a lot of people enjoy, but it is very different than having a boyfriend. I've had boyfriends over the years and it isn't always as great as it sounds. |
