More than 100,000 doses of the H1N1 vaccine are being withdrawn across the country, after Manitoba health officials announced Thursday they'd noticed a higher-than-usual number of allergic reactions from one batch. …
…Most involved allergic reactions that began within minutes of vaccination. All were treated promptly by medical people at the vaccination site.
Milder side effects, such as nausea, soreness, headaches and fever, have also been seen, which is not unexpected. Seasonal flu vaccines have been known to cause such reactions every year....

Despite an intense propaganda in favor of the Swine flu vaccine it seems that less and less Austrians have confidence in the safety of the jab. There has been a dramatic drop in the numbers of people who take the vaccine in the second week of the mass swine flu vaccination program.

The Polish Health Minister said during a Press conference that the cases of the seasonal flu have quadrupled compared to the same period of last year due to climatic change according experts. Only 293 out of 107,250 flu cases were swine flu; 10 patients had serious symptoms and three deaths have been reported.
This article also mentions that tests done with samples of patients that the H1N1 virus didn’t show a substantial change, so that mutation can be excluded.

I will be very pleased when the subject of swine flu dies a death (no pun intended) in the same way as the SARS nonsense did.

"The Polish Health Minister said during a Press conference that the cases of the seasonal flu have quadrupled compared to the same period of last year due to climatic change according experts"
So now they are linking flu in with so called climate change? This whole con job just gets worse by the day. Wonder if they were the same experts that were caught out in the UK manipulating the data? The same ones on lucrative government funding to come up with the bogus results so that these new carbon taxes can be brought in. #4Posted 2009-11-27 09:49:28
Reality check: The implicated batch was approx. 170,000 doses. Yes there were some allergic reactions and due to heightened surveillance, the government erred on the side of caution. However, over 15,000 doses were adminstered from the batch and guess what? No one died, no one went into a coma, no one was paralyzed. What was seen were allergic reactions to the eggs from which the vaccine is made. Analysis of the batch is ongoing and will take some time to complete.
People have allergies to eggs and they do not know it. Sometimes it can be a mild allergy that is manageable in adults and not recognized as such. However, the use of the vaccine can provoke a serious ADR because of the amount of allergen introduced at one time. #5Posted 2009-12-07 21:44:27
Thanks to GK for a well informed reply. this matter has already been covered, in depth, in another post.
All medications will cause allergic reactions in susceptible people. So will all foods. And bee stings. And so on. This is why all clinics, hospitals and doctors offices should have (and are legally required to have, in the West) emergency equipment on hand and staff with current certification in emergency resuscitation. It is very rarely needed, but it does happen. In addition to people with allergies to eggs, people with a history of other allergies to other substances or of autoimmune diseases are at higher risk than most and should discuss the pros and cons of vaccination with a physician familiar with their specific medical history. The vaccine is clearly labelled as contraindicated in persons with allergies to its constituents and the risk of allergic reaction is clearly spelled out in the vaccine literature. It is extremely unfortunate that people with an anti-vaccine or "vaccine conspiracy" agenda feel the need to misuse the reports of these few allergic reactions to create unnecessary fear and misunderstanding. this thread is now closed. |
