For some it might be interesting to know that a customer of mine was issued a triple entry tourist visa at the Royal Thai Consulate in Munich, Germany. No questions were asked, and the visa was free of charge.

I had the same very positive experience at the consulate in Munich. Very fast - it took them - literally - two minutes to issue my TR (2 entries). You are supposed to show a return ticket, but I told them that my ticket ended in BKK and that I would be buying a return ticket when I got there. This answer sufficed - no further questions asked.
