I want to build a Sala, 4 x 5 m with a raised floor of cement ( Slab) one meter above ground level to make provision in case of flooding, we are next to river. Cement pillars to hold the roof. How deep should the foundation for the footings be? 1m cube below grade? Any advice will be appreciated, or even where to read.

if its gentle flooding that will be enough, if its raging torrents with torn down trees etc then go deeper and use bigger posts, bigger rebar etc etc
