Does anyone have the new BlackBerry 9700 and getting 3G coverage anywhere in Bangkok with either AIS or TrueMove? If you are please post the carrier that sold the phone (i.e., T-Mobile USA, AT&T USA, TrueMove, AIS, etc.). It turns out there are different hardware versions of the 9700 out there with different 3G radio frequencies. For example an unlocked AT&T USA BB 9700 will not get any 3G coverage on T-Mobile USA's network. So I am wondering if anyone is getting 3G here and which version of the hardware they have so I can purchase a 9700 that will allow me to get 3G coverage.

Maybe late to answer...but AT&T's 9700 works with Truemove's BIS plan. 3G is solid. Do not get Tmobile..it WILL NOT work with 3G only edge. You should be able to get one at MBK for just under 15000B. Not sure why True shop sells them for 23,000.
